| Dave Stieb pitched a complete game three-hit shutout as the Blue Jays dominated the Expos 10-0 before 41,130 delighted spectators at Exhibition Stadium. Stieb who has had mostly success in the Pearson Cup against Montreal walked one and struck out eight. "His slider was really working out there" said Bobby Cox "I think after the fifth inning he pitched perfect baseball." Bryn Smith started for Montreal and was rocked around. |
