Jays rally to stun Expos 2-1
Steve Rogers had the Toronto Blue Jays down to their final out. Otto Velez instead hit a two-run shot that stunned the Olympic Stadium crowd. Rogers had stymied the Blue Jays on three hits through 8 2/3 innings before George Bell hit a single to set up Velez's two-run shot. Dave Stieb started for Toronto and pitched well before his bullpen helped finish the game off. Steve Rogers gets the loss while Roy Lee Jackson gets the win for Toronto. Joey McLaughlin picked up the save.
